You know it's convention time...

...when you have to futz with the TV volume every few minutes due to the constant helicopter traffic.

My job next quarter is right by the Fleet, which is right by the North End, home to lots of old Italian men in black socks and sandals, incredible food aromas, all the gelato you could possibly eat, and the graves of both Cotton Mather and his brother Increase. This means, hopefully, that I will be able to patronize lots of the restaurants that are being completely screwed over by the convention. There was a guy on NPR this morning who sounded personally offended that Mayor Menino, a fellow Italian, would be running things this way.
